Chunilal Mulchand Furnishings' journey started way back in 1925, when we initially operated as a Muir Mill Depot under the British Raj. We were famous in those days for providing suiting, shirting, dress fabrics, dhotis and kurtas, and established ourselves quickly as a name for good textiles. With time passing by and textile mills disappearing, we managed to evolve. In the 1960s, our interest had shifted to handloom and home furnishing fabrics, natural cotton and linen weaves complemented by an elite collection of bed and bath linen from some of South India's highest quality mills. From such humble roots, we evolved into a brand that homeowners, architects, designers and hoteliers rely on for luxury furnishing fabrics and custom home furnishings. For decades, folks affectionately referred to us as the "Cotton King", a moniker that spoke to the excellence of our cotton fabrics. But that was only a part of our history. And, over the years, we gained just as much fame for quirky pieces such as block-printed rain umbrellas and canvas hammocks, all with an unmistakable craftsman's flair. As fashion and preferences changed, so did we. With the advent of polyester, blends and performance fabrics, Chunilal Mulchand Furnishings diversified its collections, yet never forgot the ageless charm of cotton, linen and silk. Our collections now comprise cotton, linen, silk, block prints, poly-cotton blends, chenille jacquards, embroidered fabric and crewel work. In addition to fabric, we also create bespoke furnishings - from curtains and sofa covers to bedding, cushions and dining linen. Each item designed specifically to work seamlessly into the environments our customers call home.
